ABOUT CONDITIONING REGISTRATION FEES SCHEDULE REGISTRATION
2006 HFL Winter Conditioning Program
After several years of coaching and working with homeschool boys participating in programs offered by the HFL, I have witnessed many occasions in which the personal achievements of our boys have been limited by their physical fitness. Many of the boys are lacking the strength and stamina needed to excel in sports. During the months of January and February, the Homeschool Football League will offer a conditioning program for boys between the ages of 6 and 18. The focus of the program will be to teach football skills, while working to improve the overall physical fitness of each attendee. This conditioning program is for young men, regardless of football skill or physical fitness. Participants will be grouped into two age brackets; Youth - ages 6 to 12, and Varsity - ages 13 to 18. Each age group will meet once per week for one hour. A complete schedule is listed below.
Our program is specifically designed to improve the football skills, endurance, physical strength, alertness, agility, and running speed of the young men involved. The first meeting will be used to access the fitness level of each participant. This evaluation will be used to provide each boy with an individual workout plan to be used in class and at home. Each young man will be given fitness goals for the winter session that are based on his current physical condition. Awards may be earned for achievement of these personal goals. Every participant, regardless of size, condition, or age, will have the same opportunity for achievement. The only limiting factors will be the participant's resolve, effort, and commitment to the workout plans assigned. The class is designed to have each individual finish more self-confident, better physically fit, and with an improvement in football skills.
Program Registration Fees
The cost for the strength-training program is $59 per participant for up to three sons. Each additional son after the third will participate for FREE. Individual awards and t-shirts are included in the $59 fee.
